The Borough of Midland
Park, through its Recreation
Department offers many year round recreational
opportunities for both children and adults.
Additional information and programs, dates and
date changes are announced in the Villadom Times
and the Suburban News. Flyers are distributed
to all public and private schools in Midland
Park announcing the year
round recreational opportunities and special
events run by the Recreation Department.
Athletic organizations
for children include youth baseball and softball,
football and cheerleading, basketball, soccer,
wrestling and tennis. Coach’s clinics and first
aid/CPR courses are also offered throughout
the year.
Rutger’s Safety
Certification Back Ground Checks
All Volunteer Coaches must complete their
Rutger’s Safety Certification, a
Criminal Background Check, and
view the Volunteer DVD
at the DePhillips Community Center in order
to apply for a coaching position or Sport
Association board member seat.
Borough of Midland Park Ordinance #04-01
requires criminal background checks for
Midland Park volunteers and employees 18
years or older involved with Borough
sponsored programs or services involving
minors.
